A Plan B for a Changing World
Expande Fronteras was born from
a shared concern between its founders, Nacho García and Sergio Ferrer.
Starting in 2020, they began to clearly perceive a profound shift in Europe: a combination of economic instability, rising tax pressure, and a gradual loss of competitiveness which, in their view, could affect the future of many individuals and businesses.
Faced with this scenario, they asked themselves a question:
What if Europe stops being the only place where we build our future?
This reflection led them to search for a Plan B.
They moved to live outside Spain, within Europe, but both knew it was a temporary step that would allow them to analyze the evolution of the continent with greater perspective and explore new international opportunities.
However, the more they researched, the clearer it became that the real change was not happening within Europe.
The Discovery of El Salvador
That was when they began analyzing different countries that were undergoing deep economic, political, and social transformations.
Among all of them, El Salvador particularly caught their attention.
Economic reforms, the government’s strategy to attract international investment, the dramatic improvement in security, and a highly competitive tax environment placed the country in a unique position within Latin America.
Even so, they wanted to see it for themselves. So they decided to travel.
Seeing It With Their Own Eyes
What they found in El Salvador exceeded their expectations.
A country in the midst of transformation, with a clear entrepreneurial energy, major international investment projects underway, and an institutional environment increasingly open to business development.
After several trips and months analyzing the country on the ground, both founders reached the same conclusion:
El Salvador represented an extraordinary opportunity for the future.
From this conviction, Expande Fronteras was born — an initiative created to identify international opportunities and make it easier for others to diversify their assets and explore new horizons.
